During my time as being the design head and then the president of the Imperial Hindu Society, designing posters and leaflets to market our events was certainly my favourite part of the planning process! The posters below are a small selection of these and have been produced using the Adobe suite.

Winter Mela 2018
This design took heavy inspiration from the decoration commonly seen on Indian trucks. The truck drivers typically hand paint such signs and messages using a bright and attractive colour palette to personalise their vehicle. This symbolised the cultural showcase present at the event and also served to convey a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
Holi 2019
The festival of colour is thoroughly enjoyed by Imperial students every year! The design had to be dramatically vivid whilst also conveying a sense of togetherness and celebration. The silhouette cut-out was chosen to represent this spirit within each of the students. Additionally, the silhouette allowed gender, culture, age and ethnicity barriers to be removed; the celebration and event was open to all.
Imperial Rangoli
The first ever Diwali celebration at Imperial. This brought together over 300 students from 3 universities in a high end dinner format with live performances. The poster represented this luxury theme whilst also linking to 'rangoli', the coloured powder used to decorate homes on the occasion of Diwali.
Winter Mela 2019
Inspired by the variety of offerings at the event, the Indian street food and its relation to being similar to a funfair, I aimed to achieve a fusion of styles between east and west. The funfair format inspired the banner style vectors, playful font and loosely defined boundaries. The dancers, street food stall and wide ranging colour palette conveyed an idea of the Indian cultural theme and inviting atmosphere.
Ujaali
This event involved a traditional dance celebration between Imperial students. The design represents the colourful and eye-catching dresses worn by those participating as well as a colour palette to invoke celebration and festivity.
Welcome Dinner
As an event to welcome new freshers joining the university and the society, it featured a dinner as well as light hearted games and icebreakers. The design was inspired by an abstract interpretation of dinner plates fitted to a bright and playful colour scheme.
